Standing before the explosive battle, Naoya watched the clash, engrossed in the combat, when he was suddenly noticed by none other than Yumerei calling out to him. Her words were energetic as she told him, “If you’re not filming this in your head right now, I’m gonna be so mad... this is PEAK material!” and it simply made him smile as he watched his friend enjoying every second of her battle.

“C’mon now, darlin’ — you know I’m always rarin’ to watch a good scrap.”

Naoya would say as he continued to watch enjoying the scene that was unfolding before him especially when Yumerei set of her explosion calling out her signature line in the process. His duster whipped fierce in the blast, one hand clamped to his hat as the shockwave near tore it away. The force wasn't enough to disrupt him but he could let his precious lucky hat get sent flying.

“Well now, that damn near cost me my lucky hat — and you know I ain’t half as pretty without it.”

TETSUSHURA

Iwa-Divider.png

His student was an impressive acrobat and an even more impressive artist with a blade, even without guidance he could tell she would hone that art her blade not merely bound to the song of steel most warriors know. However the look on the Tsuchikage's face was one of stern appraisal rather than praise even as the steel skin of his technique recedes. his mind set in resolve that his students vast potential must be allowed to flourish but for now...so young she must be humbled so that she may renew with vigor he aim to surpass herself. Her evident excitement was something to be cherished but if he held back it would be a disservice to her as his student.

The rupture of ink and art shaking the roof reverberates up along the chains Tetsushura looming above like a spider in a web of 4 iron chain lengths letting his nigh weightlessness position him for what is to come next. He times his reaction to coincide with her provocation, a swift hand-sign shifts his weight his mass returning and his descent is hastened by deft sweeping motions of his hand along the chians coiled to wrists. Using the chain to increases his momentum his speed accelerates turning from a falling stone into a blur using the chains to guide his including a sweeping tug of the chain on his leg to make his motion unpredictable as he hurdles towards Yumerei.

At the last moment before he would crash into her as a hurdling force of mass and speed his left hand signs shifting his chakra to once more alter his density lightning his mass to cushion the otherwise crashing power of his falling clothesline elbow blow. The blow would aim to slam her downward more than enough force left even with the self imposed speedbump to have her shatter her way past the roof tiles. "All true young Yumerei...but the blade learns to endure...the explosion no matter how grand...is doomed to fade into smoke..."

Yumerei’s eyes burned with thrill, her body pulsing as the smoke of her last explosion curled into the air. The rooftop was cracked beneath her feet, streaked with ink and dust, but her grin hadn’t faded not yet. Naoya’s voice cut through the chaos like a breeze through a battlefield, and she couldn’t help but call back.

“Lucky hat or not, you look fabulous, cowboy! But I’m gonna need you to hold applause till after the encore!”

Her attention shot upward. The vibrations in the air shifted, he was coming. Tetsushura wasn’t just falling; he was diving, using the momentum of his chains and shifting his mass in real time. The precision. The speed. He was descending like a meteor, guided by web-like chains and unrelenting focus. Yumerei reacted fast, planting her brush and drawing a quick explosive glyph midair before hurling it downward.

“KATSU!” She exclaimed, the blast erupted between them, throwing up a veil of fire and ink. But it wasn’t enough.

He came through the smoke like a mountain crashing from the sky, his elbow crashing down with bone-rattling force. She managed to get her arms up just before impact, but it was like trying to stop a boulder with paper. The strike slammed her into the rooftop, stone shattering beneath her as she crashed through the tiles and rolled across the debris. She lay still for a moment, her grin now gone, replaced by grit and quiet panting.

“Damn…” she muttered, wincing as she pulled herself back up to her feet, “...so that’s the power of the forge.”

Her ink was nearly depleted. Her chakra thinned, her body ached. Every instinct told her to keep fighting, but for the first time in the spar, she paused. She stepped back, slowly sheathing Bokuga as her brush-hand trembled slightly. Then, lowering her head, she bowed, deeply and without theatrics.

“Thank you… Lord Tetsura,” she said, voice soft but sincere. “I see now. I’ve got a long way to go before my art is worthy of shaping the next era.”

She turned to glance at Naoya with a tired but still-lively smirk.

“I’ll finish the show another day, partner.” With that, Yumerei leapt from the broken rooftop and standing beside Naoya.
