Jin Tendo Adult.png

Watching the excitement shining off of Gyoken uchiha, Jin slowly rested his left hand to his hip, his dull cyan eyes watching as Both Gyoken and Kokezaru spoke freely before a fourth body had joined the group of Genin; a stout young shinobi with a cream like white hair tied into a pony tail. Though this shinobi presumably the same one Gyoken was talking about hailed from the Cloud District, Jin remained silent, merely observing the subtle interactions between the Leaf districts shinobi and the cloud districts. Though as Jin stood watching, he slowly turned away from the group, speaking with a calm tone as he began taking a few steps away from the others,
"I'm heading to the Village Gates so we can depart. We can exchange details of what we know about the mission at hand. If none of us have any relevant information, we can spend the time during the travels catching up... Rather avoid the mistakes of our last mission."
Jin's words hinting at Gyoken about their mission during the Sand escort with the Chuunin Okami, the same mission that had lead to a total failure, Jin's kidnapping, and some injuries to Okami along with a Diplomat being kidnapped. That being said though, Jin proceeded to walk through the forestry locale, his arms slowly crossing across one another as his Dull Cyan eyes fixated forth, a glare upon them dictating the need to redeem himself for their last missions failure, but also a hint at wanting to progress his capabilities with his Kekkei Genkai, the need to find a way to focus and hone the output of power as to not put his body in unnecessary harm. And as Jin Tendo continued forth, taking the few minutes to slowly close the distance between himself and the village gates, a side view glimpse of a woman with red hair had passed by; mild flashes of his deceased mother during the times of his youth flickered as from his lips escaped a single word, with his proximity close enough to be heard by this woman,
"Mother?"
But with his sense of reality returning and the visage of his mother passing, Jin shook his head as if trying to recollect his sense of reality and sanity, a weight of Guilt and sin still burdening him for his transactions that ultimately led to his kidnapping and his grandfather brainwashing him. Continuing forth as he approached the village gates, acting as if he had said nothing, the young Tendo slowly leaned his back against a tree's base, waiting for the others to follow suit.

Shijo stood at the Eastern Gate—not the main one, never the obvious route. His presence was like a phantom on the outskirts of the village, unseen by most, unnoticed by all but the keenest sensors. The faint breeze stirred the edge of his cloak, but he didn’t move. His mind was already downrange—deep into enemy territory, weaving through possibilities and outcomes. His chakra was calm, but sharp, like the surface of a still lake hiding an undertow. He had already filtered out the distractions—the noise of the two would-be comrades he’d been burdened with, the politics behind the mission, and the watchful eyes of the village that always seemed to look through him rather than at him. All that remained was purpose. His gaze shifted eastward, crimson Sharingan spinning slowly in each eye, scanning the terrain beyond the walls. His mind broke the mission into parts: infiltration, elimination, extraction. Simple, efficient. His every thought aligned with each phase, like pieces sliding into place within a larger mechanism.

On and off, his eyes flickered—brief pulses of crimson light that cut through the haze of the early dawn. His Sharingan rotated with mechanical precision, scanning for any trace of deception, tracking distant chakra signatures that stirred like whispers in the wind and then there was silence. The glow faded. The Tomoe vanished. His eyes returned to their natural state, cold and still. He had seen enough—for now.
Shijo stood with arms folded at the Eastern Gate, back pressed against a weather-worn post, his presence nearly undetectable despite his rank. The silence wasn’t awkward to him—it was preferred. It gave the world a chance to reveal itself without the clutter of human voice or emotion.
His thoughts drifted to the two figures expected to join him—low-ranked, ill-prepared, hopeful. Hopefulness was always the most dangerous trait. It made you sloppy. Made you linger too long when the order was to kill. Made you think you had a chance when the enemy already had your blood on their hands. He exhaled slowly, a thin mist escaping his lips in the cold morning air.

“Let’s see if they’re just bait,” he muttered under his breath, eyes narrowing, “or if they’ll swim when the sharks come.”

Gyoken’s attention shifted to Kokezaru as they walked together toward the gates of Konohagakure. The Sarugami ninja had begun sharing a story about a past sparring match with another monkey from his clan. Just as Gyoken began to picture the encounter, a blur of movement interrupted them—Ryu, Kokezaru’s monkey companion, popped out of nowhere, arms crossed and expression unamused. Ryu corrected bluntly, cutting off Kokezaru. Gyoken flinched, visibly startled. He hadn't realized how feral and aggressive the monkeys of the Sarugami clan could be. “Damn,” he muttered under his breath, blinking in disbelief. “I didn’t know monkeys were like that.”

As they neared the village gates, Gyoken momentarily veered away from Kokezaru and caught sight of Yugo standing ahead. With a quick jog, he approached the shinobi from Kumogakure. “Hey! Yugo, right?” Gyoken called out, his tone light as he flashed a genuine, friendly smile. “I could say the same for you too. If Lady Raikage sent you on a joint mission, she must really trust your abilities. Honestly—if you’d found me out there first, I feel like you might’ve ended me with one punch.”He laughed nervously, a single bead of sweat trailing down the side of his face. There was something unsettling about Yugo’s strength raw, coiled power, hidden beneath a frame similar to Gyoken’s own. It was like they both carried monsters inside them, just waiting to be let loose.

Just then, Jin surged ahead of the group, clearly eager to get the mission underway. His speed made it seem like he wasn’t planning to wait for anyone. “Hey Jin! Wait up!” Gyoken called, breaking into a sprint to follow him. He wasn’t about to be left behind again, especially not by his rival. But as he caught up, Gyoken noticed something strange—a subtle shift in Jin’s expression. For a moment, it looked like Jin had seen a ghost.“Hey, Jin. Snap out of it. Are you okay?” Gyoken asked, slowing his pace. His voice was genuine, full of concern.

There was no turning back now. The group pressed forward, leaving the safety of Konohagakure behind as they made their way toward the Moon District—and into the unknown.

“Kageko, how many times do I have to tell you? Surprise attacks won't work on Inoka if you fail to mask your chakra,” Ayame Uzumaki said sharply, her arms crossed as she stood in the Hokage’s office. The frustration in her voice was clear—this wasn’t the first time she had corrected Kageko, and likely wouldn’t be the last. Her eyes remained closed for a moment longer, her chakra spreading outward as she focused.

“He’s heading toward the Third Training Ground,” she added a second later, opening her eyes as she pinpointed Inoka’s location using the Mind’s Eye of Kagura—a technique that had become second nature to her.

As she turned to leave, she paused, recalling something else. “Oh—and Kageko,” Ayame said, reaching into her satchel and placing a small bottle gently onto the wooden floor. “Give these pills to your mother. They won’t extend her life-force, but they should ease the pain and reduce the bleeding.” Her voice softened at the end, but the unspoken truth lingered in the room: the end was near for Kageko’s mother, and there was only so much anyone—even an Uzumaki—could do.

Far from the warmth of the office, Inoka stood calmly with his hands tucked into his pockets. The wind brushed through the trees of Training Ground Three as his sharp senses caught something strange—chakra signatures foreign to Konohagakure, but not unfamiliar to him.

He walked forward with quiet confidence, stopping just before a tall figure clad in steel—General Mitsumi, one of the highest-ranking Samurai from the Land of Iron.

“General Mitsumi,” Inoka greeted, a small smile playing at the edge of his lips. “It’s a surprise to have you here. The last time you visited, you bested a shadow disguised as one of our own.” He remembered that battle vividly. Months ago, he had watched from the background as a support specialist under Suzaku, the previous Hokage. Back then, his skills in intelligence gathering and sensory perception had been valued—but he hadn’t yet been given the weight of leadership.

“Oh, how rude of me,” Inoka added, inclining his head slightly. “My name is Inoka Yamanaka—the current Hokage.”His voice carried with it a calm sense of authority, a man both watchful and calculating. “What brings you to the Leaf at this time, General Mitsumi?” Inoka asked, his tone polite but probing, silently wondering if something had gone wrong in the Land of Iron—or if trouble had come seeking them once again.

Komatoo

Genin
Unfortunately the cloak did conceal the Generals Chakra, but he did not wish to go unnoticed. There was no honor in hiding and that revelation would be revealed in the approach of a figure. A shinobi of the leaf that had gained the title of Hokage, Inoka Yamanaka. Komato made it his purpose to know the ins and outs of the places he traveled. His name was known to him before he even stepped across the border in order to reach Konoha, along with his title.

General Mitsumi.

No surprise that he is known to the Hokage, having bested one of their own Shinobi a while ago, Albeit possessed by the enemy. Komato stops shy of his own fellow comrades, while both of the armored Samurai simply fall back to his backside, yet remaining at each of his side. Noting the sly smile that peeked, Komato returns with his own.

It’s a surprise to have you here. The last time you visited, you bested a shadow disguised as one of our own.

Komato nods only in agreeance, remembering the battle in its entirety. While the goal had been to preserve their lives, both the Uchiha and Hyuuga had proven themselves to be a duo that he could not simply hold back against. Even against the counter-parts, Komato wondered what it would be like to spar against the originals. Inoka proceeds to reveal his own name and title, as we’ll delve into the reasoning behind Komato’s visit this time around. Has something gone wrong in the Land of Iron? Should even Konoha be worried of a new threat approaching?

Pleasure is mine to be graced by your presence. I’ll keep it short. I hope to explore the opportunity to have a couple of my up and coming Samurai venture to Konoha to train and learn. It is imperative that they understand the art of ninjutsu and how to defend themselves whilst utilizing Kenjutsu as their primary stance.

Even I can stand to learn a bit more myself. I’m sure there are still things that are absent to me even as I am now.

There was always much to learn from other cultures, even Komato with his plethora of knowledge and travels remained teachable, coachable even. The world of ninjutsu was vast and unparalleled. Facing against the Hyuuga and Uchiha that day pulled him into the direction of understanding the visual prowess more than he already did. While he did come out victorious in the end, perhaps Komato felt that the outcome could have proved different if it had been the original.

Sumiko Uzumaki
Scarlet Doctor

6f3c20c21cd465c1572bd1c8be2d572d-png.5403

Sumiko had been standing outside the gates of Konoha for what felt like half an hour, though she hadn't checked the time. Waiting didn’t bother her standing still gave her space to observe, to sharpen her awareness, to breathe. The breeze was warm, carrying the scent of the forest beyond the road. Her arms were loosely crossed, stance even, the Chidekakuyari resting diagonally across her back like a spine made of steel and purpose.

Behind her, the village hummed with life. Children’s voices from the academy, the rhythmic thud of training dummies, murmurs from the market stalls all familiar, but filtered out. Her focus was ahead, however the silent murmur of one caught her attention, one addressing her as Mother?

She couldn't help but turn her head with a small smile.

"Hello, I am Sumiko. Is everything okay young man?"

She didnt need much convincing, something aliened with this young man and herself, she wished to give him a home. Even by looking at him, she could tell based on his appearance that he hadn't a home to goto, a family to love and care. Having never experienced that. She wanted to help anyway she could, first. She'd need to talk to the Hokage about potentially adopting this young man. Yet in due time, she was asked to aid so aid she will.

Not before long.

Two shinobi appeared on the horizon, walking the main road toward the gates. She saw them before they saw her, and even at a distance, there was something practiced about their movement. Measured. Synchronized. People who trusted each other, or at least had fought beside each other long enough to move without speaking,

As they approached, she subtly shifted her weight, grounding her heel against the base of a stone marker, her fingers brushed the spear’s handle, not in anticipation of conflict, just habit.

“I could be wrong, but are you from the Grass District? The name’s Tenbō.”

Sumiko blinked once, quietly. It wasn’t the first time someone had made the mistake, the Grass District bordered her own. The confusion wasn’t surprising still, to her, the difference was as clear as chakra signatures.

“Whirlpool District.~” she replied, evenly.

Her voice was firm, but not sharp. It wasn’t correction out of pride just fact. Names mattered to her. Borders mattered. The distinction was simple, and worth making.

She gave a small, respectful nod in return, with a bright smile on her face she spoke once more.

“Sumiko Uzumaki, Lead Researcher of Helix Laboratory and school!

However almost out of the blue she presented them both with two fliers, inside the two would find a plethora of information regarding Helix Research Labs, it's schools, it's medical practises, etc.
assets%2Ftask_01jvqx99kxekpvnq1d15dwgdmd%2F1747780491_img_2.webp

Her eyes moved briefly across the others, almost waiting for praise or approval, almost forgetting she was technically on a mission as of this moment, with that being said Sumiko is one to make an entrance.

So this was the escort detail.

She wasn’t told much, just that she’d be guiding them to the Land of Grass. No mission parameters. No real objective. That didn’t sit well with her, but she kept that unease buried beneath routine professionalism.

“If you're ready, we should leave soon. I’ve prepped the route~”

She spoke once more, her voice slightly higher than before, almost as if embarrassed of herself for advertising her school and medical practice.

"A-ahem!~ One more thing."

She rubbed the back of her head, once more almost embarrassed.

"I can tell you're both capable Shinobi. So. I have something you could use, if you so wish."

She reached into her pocket and pulled out a pill capsules
1747780822392.png

"I keep plenty of these on me, they're called Healing Drugs and they're 10x as effective as chakra pills, they can even recover you from some nasty injuries as well as act as a purifying agent against diseases and flues. Think of this as gift."

Once more, the bright smile on her face that would soon become unbearable would break into a normal smile

She found that sometimes a bit of silliness can help Shinobi/Kunoichi's mental state improve before missions and she didn’t ask what the mission was. If they wanted her to know, they’d say. Until then, her role was simple: guide and guard.

“We can discuss anything tactical on the move~”

Her hand touched the base of her spear again, fingers resting there. She looked at Tenbō, then past him, eyes scanning the road ahead like she already saw the trail waiting.

Then, without waiting for permission, she turned, stepping onto the path leading out of Konoha, quiet, sharp, and ready, she can't stop thinking about that poor kid and how she could help by giving him home. She would need to talk to the Hokage to adopt him. But not right now.

Inoka was a man capable of visualizing a dozen scenarios in mere seconds. His mind naturally ran calculations, evaluating possibilities and outcomes like a strategist moving unseen pieces on a board. As he stood before General Mitsumi, a fleeting thought crossed his mind—what advantage would the Land of Iron have if they ever turned against Konohagakure? Could the samurai, disciplined and steel-bound, pose a threat to the Leaf District in open war? The thought vanished as quickly as it came. They were allies under the United Shinobi Alliance, after all. As Hokage, it was Inoka’s duty not to foster suspicion, but to extend his hand—to provide aid, and strengthen their collective front against the Shadow Realm.

"Yes, of course, General Mitsumi. It’s the least we can do," Inoka said, offering a bright, genuine smile.

"Please, make yourself at home while you're here. I'm actually on my way to train,"
he added, pulling something from within his cloak and holding it out to the general. "Here—take this. If you need me."

It was no ordinary kunai. The weapon was a custom design—its blades forming an X-shape, each edge lined with glowing neon green. The black and green camouflage pattern ran seamlessly into circular cutouts along the blade for balance. The handle was wrapped in dark cloth etched with delicate white kanji. But the most unique feature was the small chibi-style doll attached to the ring of the kunai, a miniature likeness of Inoka himself: spiky blond hair, dark cloak, and all.

Had the general accepted the kunai, Inoka would have exchanged pleasantries before disappearing in a swirl of smoke—body flickering to the Third Training Ground.

Now standing in the quiet stillness of the Third Training Ground, Inoka was hit with a wave of memory. The trees here whispered stories of his past—of sparring sessions, laughter, and growth. He had trained here as a boy, part of the fabled Ino-Shika-Chō trio. But when the Nara and Akimichi stepped away, when the team dissolved, Inoka remained. He trained here and in the 44th Training Ground harder than ever before—because he had to become enough on his own.

Seeking clarity, he stepped toward the center clearing and knelt slowly. His fingers steepled. His breath slowed. Eyes closed. He began to meditate. In his mind, memories rose like drifting leaves: his father, the former Yamanaka Clan Lord, guiding him through the intricacies of mind transfer and perception; his mother, a descendant of Dan Katō—lover of the Fifth Hokage, Tsunade—reminding him of the deeper strength found in soul and spirit.

Their teachings blended within him: the importance of mastering both mind and soul. Together, they formed the foundation of Inoka’s philosophy—to understand the heart of the enemy, to reshape intent, to offer resolution in place of destruction. He sat in a pretzel-legged position, his back straight, posture still, and let his consciousness drift deeper. His chakra steadied. His breathing became one with the wind.

Here, within this stillness, the path forward felt clearer. The world was his to influence—if he could guide it with clarity, purpose, and control.

Enjoying the cherry flavor lollipop in her mouth and rolling the orb of candy in her mouth, the stick hanging out of her mouth while hopping from building to building again until she sees no Shijo at the main gate, so she turns around and takes off to the next gate, obviously annoyed at Shijo for not specifying which gate to meet up at, wasting time if she's being honest with how he's leaving them with simple message and not indication of which gate, a vein bulging on Soma's forehead, realizing that she is the only one with no flashy techniques or body flicker, she will have to learn that eventually but for right now, she needed find Shijo Uchiha, the man with secrets. Soma took off to the next gate, Eastern Gate. If he's not there, she will try the other gate, but as she stretched her senses, expanding her chakra out as a secondary organ stretching its radar outwards, picking up pings of many people with chakra within them, but they weren't Shijo, but as she stretched it further, she picked up one, this chakra signature felt just strong, different, it felt like an intense sensation that brought a chill up her back, unlike her father, who's chakra was cold, electrifying and a maw that swallows everything and everyone whole, even her.

Arriving at the gate with her kit, tools, and a lollipop in her mouth, she bows respectfully towards Shijo before looking around to see if Hachiro arrived, it would be better if she could speak out and call out that boy's name but alas, she can't speak, much to her frustration since her voice is gone, she could barely form a word without sounding like groans and raspy choking sounds. Utilizing her blood orbs to form words "Ready when Hachiro arrives" the words spelled out as she leans against the wall, checking out her left hand where the seal reveals the kanji for 'Nuibari' in red, in her head, she was reeling from this and questioned if this is the mythical sword. Deciding to find out, Soma bites her thumb and runs her blood over the seal, which results in a smoke to envelop her and quickly dissipate, revealing the Longsword in her hand, looking like a large needle but has claimed many lives when its past wielders used it for war. She seemed so mesmerized by the elegant sword in her hand, thrusting its blade towards an invisible target and testing its weight, it felt light and easy for her to maneuver with, but something was missing; she wasn't sure what was missing from Nuibari, but she would figure it out eventually.

Before she could even get underneath Kage's desk. Ayame Uzumaki has been supplying her mother with some medicine for her illness. She stood there, taking in Ayame's lecture on suppressing her chakra when doing some sneak attacks. Though she meant well when lecturing Kageko, she was almost like her sister. Of course, the Uzumaki woman told her where Inoka was, as Kageko was prepared to leap out of the window, she was stopped by Ayame once again, only this time giving her pills for her ill-struck mom. She widened her eyes at this and nodded as she took them off the floor. She smiled brightly, masking her pain towards Ayame.

"Thank you, Ayame-chan"

There she waved a bye and leapt out of the window, jumping on the buildings, and the walls to get towards the training ground where Inoka was, she breezed past a couple of people at the gate not even noticing it was rude of her to go in between the chatting folks, her long black hair flying in the wind. She then jumped onto the trees, hopping in each one til she got to the location of Inoka.

Of course, she saw her Hokage, and though she saw someone unusual on the grounds, there Kageko remained hidden, observing what was going on. From what she could gather, the person was General Mitsumi from the land of the iron, well known for their samurai-like warriors, then she got distracted by a bird in the nest nearby her, and she smiled at this. Once her attention snapped back, she saw Inoka doing his meditative state. She could've been cheeky, but due to everything going on with her, she didn't particularly feel all that cheerful.

She jumped down in front of her Sensei, and sat down next to him, crossing her legs like a pretzel, her hands in front of her lap, and she closed her eyes. She joined in with the meditation, her breath went in and out of her lips. There she listened to the local chirping of the birds, which placed her in a trance-like state, being at peace, trying to forget her worries.

However, that peace didn't last long.

"Kageko Nara. I've got news about your mother."

She woke from her trance state, instantly her heart dropped at the words; she didn't want to hear it. She nodded at the messenger to continue on.

"She... unfortunately passed away. We found her by the bedroom door, with a small pool of blood by her mouth."

There Kageko felt conflicted feelings, she wanted it not to be true but rather a sick joke. Though somewhat she felt like it was the truth, she got up and her rage she hadn't ever expressed before came out, her sorrow allowed tears to flow uncontrollably her hands shook as she made a hand signal where shadows crawled out and wrapped them around the messenger's body and eventually hand-like shape wrapped around their neck, she gently squeezed. She screamed, shouting in the news she heard.

"YOU GOT TO BE LYING! THERE IS NO WAY SHE PASSED AWAY....PLEASE SAY YOU GOT TO BE JOKING!!!"

Komatoo

Genin
Conflict often renewed a person's perspective on life. Whether it be verbal or physical, the mental fortitude one must have to ignore their basic instincts, is a formidable adventure. Years of constant meditation and action against any opposing force needs to be had. For both the Hokage, and the General, to pillars of their respective homes, this was a training they both likely continued. The Hokage wondered of the troubles the Samurai would give them should they ever be under attack by them, whilst The General cared only for the strength of the Hokage and his prowess in battle. The opportunity to face him would be splendid. Each perspective stemming from their battles against the Shadow.

Komato’s thoughts are moved for a moment, the response of Inoka captured his attention, he had agreed to his proposal in sending some of his own Samurai to train and nurture their skills here in the Leaf. A good investment, Komato was glad to have made this trip and had chosen wisely. In tow, the Hokage hands him a weapon, one that is greatly unique to Inoka he believed. Taking it, the General holstered it with a nod beneath his cloak. However, the General would attempt to halt the man’s movements with verbal expression.

Would you care if me and my comrades joined you to your training? I wish to see what would be in store for my own.

Upon the acceptance of this request, both Komato and his escorts will follow the Hokage to his training grounds. The the General would find a lush area filled with both beauty and hard work. Memories that would captivate Komato if he wasn’t careful. He watched from the sidelines as the Hokage ventured to a position in order to begin his own meditation, in tow another joined him, a woman who was likely a underling to the Hokage, and she too would join him. Komato remembers his days amongst the stone. Each cut in its surface resembled his own failure and success. Where the blows would be jagged and raw, others would be clean and precise. Perfection in his swordsmanship had to be forged before he could face real opponents in battle.

Looking down at the palm of his own hands, Komato could still remember smelling the iron in his blood, the deafening grip of his own Katana, the palms of his hands ripping away. He could still feel it all and with closed eyes they suddenly shot open to the sight of a messenger, who had suddenly relayed a message to the young lady, but such an action invited a hostile reaction. The young lady quickly weaved a hand seal, summoning shadows to the messenger's body, which formed a hand that began to wrap around the neck.

Not even a flicker, Komato was gone and at the young girl's side, with a gentle hand to her shoulder. He could seemingly sense the anger in her being, the pain that now chokes her heart. His eyes filled with peace and understanding, in his gaze that now attempts to meet hers, he had hoped to calm her down.

Please. Stop.
